Oil or Balm?

So you've heard of beard care, and maybe even tried some stuff. Your local grocery, or your partner got you something? You've seen stuff on the shelves...

"Beard oil"

"Beard balm"

"Dry oil"

"Face lotion"

"Solid Conditioner"

What are you supposed to make of these options?? Well here at The Blessed Beard we seek to create the best, all natural, products a man (or a family) can get! What began as a desire to take care of my skin well, grew into a passion to develop unique and outstanding product for everyone!

We create conditioning oils, and conditioning balms. Either one will bring nourishing properties to your skin, but allow me to explain the difference!

Our conditioning oil is made from a proprietary (specially created) blend of ELEVEN different carrier oils. The carrier oils help to dilute the essential oils, as pure essential oil can be a skin irritant. The carrier oils used in our blend are:

  • jojoba
  • hempseed
  • meadowfoam seed
  • wheat germ
  • local extra virgin oilive oil
  • soy bean oil, sweet almond oil
  • grapeseed oil
  • avocado oil
  • castor oil
  • sunflower seed oil.

These oils, when combined to our ratio, provide your skin with necessary nutrients like fatty amino acids and vitamins (A,E,D). These nutrients nourish the skin, allowing the beard to flourish! This means that the conditioning oils are typically going to create a softer beard for the user! The oil, though, does not allow for much hold and control of the beard.

The conditioning balm is founded on the same nourishing carrier oil blend. In addition to that nutrient rich base we add:

  • coconut oil
  • shea butter
  • local beeswax

These added ingredients provide some more nutrients only found in the butter, as well has some hold from the beeswax. This means that the balm will have an overall better hold than the oil.

Both products will condition! And the BEST combination will be one of oil PLUS balm!

Always feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!
